Lead Attorney

Lee Turner joined Dummer Law Group as Special Counsel with his primary emphasis being serving Social Security disability clients through Coastal Disability Services, LLC. Over the past fifteen years Lee has represented hundreds of claimants before the Social Security Administration at all levels of appeal including cases in Federal District Court. Lee is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives.In addition, Lee has extensive Chancery and Circuit Court experience throughout South Mississippi representing clients in areas such as: land use disputes, personal injury, domestic relations, small business law, and general litigation. He also served as the elected Greene County Prosecutor, Special Projects Counsel for the City of Leakesville and as the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Leakesville from 2012 to 2024 where he continues to maintain an office and reside.

Moreover, Lee has been appointed as Special Master in the Circuit Courts of Lamar, Pearl River and Hinds counties.

Lee is a native and resident of Leakesville, Mississippi and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi Law School in 2005. While in Law School he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Journal of Space Law, and Moot Court. While in Moot Court he was the inaugural 2004 co-champion of the Mississippi Moot Court Competition between the University of Mississippi School of Law and Mississippi College School of Law.

Since 2005 Lee has served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve as commissioned officer where he has attained the rank of Commander.  Lee has been awarded the title of Admiral in the Texas Navy.  He has had extensive assignments in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and Memphis in a variety of legal and non-legal billets. While in the Coast Guard he received an American Bar Association Legal Assistance for Military Personnel Team award for his work assisting hurricane impacted service members.

Managing Partner

Stephen W. Dummer is the Managing Partner at Coastal Disability Services. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, business law, forming business entities, drafting corporate formation agreements, corporate sale contracts, international law, insurance defense, construction law and estate planning. Stephen has also worked with performing compliance analysis for entities seeking Community Development Block Grants. Stephen is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veteran’s benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Stephen served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Chief Justice James Smith of the Mississippi Supreme Court in the summer of 2005 and received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, Mississippi.

 

He studied international law at the University of Cambridge in England. Stephen completed his B.A. in criminal justice with honors at the University of Wyoming and his A.A. with honors at Northwest College in Wyoming. In 2010, the Gulfport Sun-Herald named Stephen on their list of Top 10 Business Leaders Under 40, and he is a graduate of the “Leadership Gulf Coast” Class of 2011-2012.

Stephen is licensed to practice law in all jurisdictions in Mississippi, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Ladner

Senior Associate Attorney

Heath Ladner is an Associate Attorney at Coastal Criminal Defense.  Heath earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources and Marketing from The University of Mississippi.  He later entered the field of engineering and government defense contracting assisting in the developmental of technological advancement in communications and weaponry for the United States military.  He later co-founded and operated a successful business building and designing custom ATVs and Golf Carts that became one of the most prominent custom shops along the Gulf Coast.  After successfully operating for over seven years, he attending Law School as a non-traditional student earning a Juris Doctorate.  While attending Law School, he volunteered in the Elder Law Clinics assisting with Estate matters.  

 

While earning his Doctorate, he particularly excelled in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Property Law, Intellectual Property and Bankruptcy earning Top Paper / Am. Jur. Awards.

After practicing complex corporate litigation for multiple years, and teaching Continued Legal Education Courses, he has expanded his practice to include criminal defense law representing his fellow Mississippi residents with the goal of protecting fundamental rights. Heath resides in Diamondhead, Mississippi with wife and daughter and is a powersports enthusiast and an avid boater on the Gulf Coast Waterways. With his interest in photography, videography, and graphic design his work has been featured in several publications and commercial media productions.
